Japan Sigmax Co., Ltd. will exhibit at the 17th Annual Meeting of the Japan Primary Care Association, taking place from May 29 (Fri) to May 31 (Sun), 2026, at the Kyoto International Conference Center.

Background: Opportunities and Challenges in Musculoskeletal Care at Primary Care Sites

Japan Sigmax has focused on developing medical devices and supplies to support the treatment and recovery of musculoskeletal conditions, primarily within the orthopedic field. However, musculoskeletal issues are no longer handled solely by orthopedists. Due to aging and the expansion of integrated community care, conditions such as lower back pain, knee pain, foot issues, finger deformities, and bone health monitoring are now routine themes for general practitioners, primary care, and home medical care.

A survey conducted by the company among internists revealed that 76.9% occasionally treat musculoskeletal disorders themselves, with 'lower back pain' being the most common. Meanwhile, 52% cited the challenge of 'not knowing the appropriate scope of treatment.'

In response, Japan Sigmax is leveraging its orthopedic expertise to provide support. At the upcoming meeting, the company will have an expanded booth featuring portable ultrasound imaging systems, bone density measuring devices, and supporters.
