Simbian Inc., which enables "Self-Improving SecOps," today announced the launch of "Simbian AI Pentest Agent" (hereinafter referred to as "AI Pentest Agent"), an autonomous, continuous penetration testing solution powered by AI agents, for the Japanese market.

The official service commencement in Japan is scheduled for July 1, 2026, and we will begin accepting trial applications today.

The AI Pentest Agent is positioned as a continuous verification agent from an attacker's perspective, complementing Simbian's suite of defensive AI agents, including the AI SOC Agent. While the AI SOC Agent assists in investigating, analyzing, and responding to alerts at machine speed, the AI Pentest Agent continuously explores and verifies vulnerabilities from an attacker's viewpoint, feeding its findings back into defense operations.

In recent years, the widespread adoption of generative AI in software development has led to a rapid increase in application release speed and complexity. Simultaneously, attackers are also leveraging AI to automate and accelerate vulnerability discovery and exploitation, creating a situation where traditional annual or semi-annual penetration tests are no longer sufficient to address modern threats.

Furthermore, conventional vulnerability scanners and signature-based inspections are increasingly failing to adequately identify high-risk issues that can be exploited in real attacks, such as authentication flaws, misconfigurations, and business logic defects.

The AI Pentest Agent addresses this new reality by offering an AI-native, continuous, and autonomous penetration testing approach. It operates like an AI hacker, discovering exploitable vulnerabilities that organizations need to fix or for which Simbian AI SOC Agent should add detection rules.

With the launch of the AI Pentest Agent, Simbian becomes the world's first company to achieve a complete loop of attack and defense powered by AI agents, providing organizations with a means to continuously validate their defensive posture in real-world scenarios. When the AI Pentest Agent identifies and verifies a vulnerable asset, the results can be used to enhance the detection coverage and investigation logic of the AI SOC Agent. Conversely, threat intelligence and high-priority entities observed in the SOC workflow can be utilized as information to guide future penetration tests and threat hunting activities.
