SMC has obtained cybersecurity certification for industrial control systems (compliant with IEC62443-4-1:2018) from TÜV SÜD (Headquarters: Munich, Germany), an internationally authoritative third-party certification body.

As the utilization of IoT and AI advances, factory automation continues to evolve. However, the threat of cyberattacks is also increasing. SMC implements robust cybersecurity measures covering the entire group. Recently, SMC was evaluated by TÜV SÜD as reliably managing product security issues in its product development process, leading to the acquisition of certification for the international standard "IEC62443-4-1".

SMC will continue to refine its cybersecurity measures and strive to be recognized by customers as a "trusted partner".
