The Japan SME Base Organization (Chairperson: Masashi Miyakawa, Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) has launched the 'One-Try OK! International Expansion Tools for SMEs' on its business information website 'Overseas Business Navi' on June 15, 2026. This toolkit enables users to conduct various investigations, analyses, and organizational tasks necessary for international expansion.
The tool allows users to easily generate prompts for generative AI by simply entering required information into web forms. Each prompt is designed based on practical insights from SME advisors who provide international expansion advice to thousands of SMEs annually. Since it can be used with free versions of generative AI, it is readily accessible to SMEs across various industries nationwide, as well as by regional financial institutions and support organizations for consultation and hands-on support.
Through this toolkit, SMEs that cannot allocate sufficient resources to research and analysis can avoid stagnation in market expansion, lower the barriers to entering overseas markets, and promote actionable international expansion initiatives.
Exporting to overseas markets requires numerous preparatory tasks, including selecting target countries with demand, verifying import and sales regulations, analyzing customers and competitors, and considering entry methods. Despite the availability of vast information through web research today, these unfamiliar investigative and analytical tasks remain a significant burden for SMEs that have primarily operated in the domestic market.
The toolkit organizes these considerations into 13 categories, enabling users to generate comprehensive AI prompts covering all necessary perspectives simply by filling out web forms. Beyond research, it also supports efficient preparation from strategy formulation to execution phases—such as drafting initial sales strategies, creating product introductions in local languages, and writing English proposals to potential partner companies—serving as a practical tool to facilitate the next decision-making steps.
