Sony Marketing Launches Domestic Sales of "HawkREPLAY" and "HawkNEST" for Sports Broadcasting

Sony Marketing Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Daisuke Kawaguchi; hereinafter referred to as Sony Marketing) will begin domestic sales of the instant replay server "HawkREPLAY" and the asset management server "HawkNEST," provided by Hawk-Eye Innovations (Hawk-Eye), a Sony group company, starting July 7, 2026 (Tue).

"HawkREPLAY" is a replay server that enables multi-angle slow-motion playback by integrating multiple camera feeds. It enhances the added value of sports content through replay footage that impressively conveys crucial moments. Furthermore, its ability to perform frame-accurate synchronized slow-motion playback of multiple multi-angle feeds can also be utilized to support referee decisions.

It supports HD (High Definition)/4K image quality and SDR (Standard Dynamic Range)/HDR (High Dynamic Range) video output, allowing for slow-motion playback at up to 8x speed for HD and up to 4x speed for 4K. Compatible with IP and SDI interfaces, it can be integrated into existing production environments. It features an intuitive interface that is easy for operators unfamiliar with its operation to use, supporting touch panel operation and a controller where frequently used functions can be pre-registered to buttons.

"HawkNEST" is an asset management server for managing video assets, clips, and playlists. In addition to centralized management of assets within the same system, it supports features such as direct editing of video assets on "HawkNEST," a "Scheduled Transcode Function" for efficient asset management and secondary use, and a "Rule Configurator Function."

The "Scheduled Transcode" function executes video data format conversion at a specified date and time. It reduces the burden of video production tasks by automatically performing server-intensive or time-consuming data conversions outside of business hours, or by scheduling the immediate editing of recorded data through growing file transfer. The "Rule Configurator Function" allows for the import and export of assets based on pre-specified conditions. It supports more efficient video production by automating the folder organization of regularly used assets, such as videos for social media posts after a game.

"HawkREPLAY" and "HawkNEST" will be sold on a subscription basis. Based on a set of an 8-channel or 16-channel HawkREPLAY server and controller, options such as "HawkNEST," gateway servers for remote operation, high-speed playback licenses, and 4K licenses will be offered on a monthly fee basis*. This eliminates the need for initial hardware investment and allows for the selection of only necessary options, thereby reducing introduction costs.

Furthermore, feature additions will be provided through software updates. Users can quickly access the latest features without needing to replace hardware. Maintenance costs are also reduced as Sony Marketing will handle hardware maintenance, support, and software updates.

(Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Shinichi Miro; hereinafter referred to as TBS ACT). To support more advanced operations and operator training, we will assist in revitalizing the domestic sports industry by conducting regular training sessions in cooperation with TBS ACT.
