Sony Bank Announces 'Sony Bank WALLET Overseas Usage Campaign' – Get 15% Cash Back or 7% ANA Miles on Overseas Shopping

Sony Bank Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Keiji Minami / Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo / hereinafter 'Sony Bank') announces the launch of the 'Sony Bank WALLET Overseas Usage Campaign' starting Monday, August 3, 2026.

Sony Bank WALLET is a debit card that allows users to spend foreign currency they have saved overseas without incurring overseas transaction fees. For 10 eligible currencies, including the US dollar, payments can be made directly using foreign currency purchased through Sony Bank. The foreign exchange cost is as low as a maximum of 15 sen per US dollar, making it more cost-effective than cards subject to standard international brand exchange fees. Additionally, with no overseas transaction fees, the card is ideal for short-term overseas travel, as well as daily use during overseas assignments or study abroad, meeting the demand for low-fee international shopping.

During the campaign period, customers who use any of the 10 eligible currencies will receive either 15% cash back on their spending (capped at ¥5,000) or 7% ANA miles (capped at 3,300 miles), in addition to the always-free overseas transaction fees. Special limited-time benefits are also available for transactions made in currencies outside the 10 eligible ones. Customers planning overseas travel during this period are encouraged to take full advantage of this service.

The foreign exchange cost when purchasing foreign currency is as low as a maximum of 15 sen per US dollar.
