To celebrate the release of 'Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu' on May 22, a special 'Ocha-zome' (tea-dyed) curtain has been created at Sunpu no Kobo Takumishuku in Shizuoka. Crafted by master artisan Kyoiichiro Washizu, the curtain employs a sustainable dyeing technique using tea manufacturing waste to represent the father-child bond between the characters. An unveiling ceremony will be held on May 21 featuring the Shizuoka City Mayor, highlighting the fusion of local traditional crafts and global entertainment. This project showcases Shizuoka's new culture and sustainable values to a worldwide audience.
