Sagawa Printing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Muko City, Kyoto Prefecture, President: Nobuo Oka) has accepted a development request from Gakuhosha Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, President: Shin Kodama) and developed an AI system aimed at reducing the workload for school teachers. This system utilizes AI technology to automate and streamline tasks such as test management and the creation of comments for report cards, which represent a significant burden for teachers.

[Background and Challenges] In recent years, the workload for teachers outside of classroom instruction has been increasing. In particular, tasks such as grading tests, managing test results, and writing student comments require a substantial amount of time and effort. This heavy workload hinders efforts towards work style reform for teachers and also impacts the improvement of educational quality.

[System Features] This system operates within Gakuhosha's web service for teachers, "Te sa po," following the process below:

1. Results from the digital grading system are centrally managed by the grading result management system "Mana Pos" and output as CSV data.

2. This data is then processed by the AI grade diagnosis system, input into a generative AI, and combined with problem information to analyze each student's weak areas and academic trends, automatically generating personalized comments.

3. Finally, teacher materials reflecting this analysis are created for use in report cards and parent-teacher conferences.

[Development Structure] The overall system development was handled by Sagawa Printing's DPP Business Division upon Gakuhosha's request. Gakuhosha was responsible for designing the AI prompts (instructions) that require knowledge closer to the actual educational field. By leveraging the strengths of both companies, a user-friendly system tailored to the needs of the field has been realized.

[Expected Effects] * Significant reduction in the time teachers spend on grading and comment creation. * Provision of concrete and easy-to-understand materials during parent-teacher conferences. * Contribution to the improvement of educational quality through the reduction of teacher workload.

Both companies will continue to strengthen their collaboration, tackle social issues such as reducing teacher workload and improving educational quality, and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
