According to the survey, 62.0% of respondents have refrained from dining out due to inflation. Among them, 50.9% answered that they have made their home meals 'slightly more luxurious' while cutting back on eating out.
When asked about what foods they are willing to spend more on, 'things I cannot make myself' topped the list at 65.8%. More than half of the respondents set a budget limit of under 1,000 yen per item.
