Following the formulation of the "Battery Industry Strategy" in August 2022, oversupply structures and supply chain risks in the global market have become apparent. The need to provide comprehensive storage solutions has increased in response to the advanced electrical control needs required by growing AI data centers, medical, and disaster prevention sectors.

In Japan's battery industry, it is important to establish a manufacturing base for the entire power supply system centered on batteries, considering not only energy density but also power density and other diverse competitive axes. This presentation will explain the revised "Battery and Power Supply Industry Strategy," which aims to acquire high-value global markets through strengthening the competitiveness of the entire power supply system and establishing a manufacturing base.
