STMicroelectronics Announces Energy-Efficient 100W VIPerGaN Converters for Home Appliances

STMicroelectronics has introduced two new 100W VIPerGaN high-voltage converters, the VIPerGaN100W and VIPerGaN100WB, designed to enhance energy efficiency in home appliances, smart lighting, and consumer devices. Both integrate a 700V GaN power transistor and operate across an 85V to 265V AC input range. Featuring an ultra-low on-resistance of 0.27mΩ, they offer excellent thermal performance and enable the use of smaller passive components. The products ensure high efficiency across all load conditions and keep no-load power consumption below 30mW. Now in mass production, they are priced at approximately $1.25 for orders of 1,000 units.
