ST Agency Japan Co., Ltd. announced that a Myanmar staff member (Injinmue) working at a major domestic restaurant chain has been promoted to a store manager candidate just one year after joining, thanks to the company's unique pre-entry education and ongoing support. Moving away from the conventional use of 'Specified Skilled Workers' merely to fill labor shortages, the company's unique 'Education x Support' model, which develops personnel capable of store management in a short period, is becoming a new standard for resolving the severe leadership shortages faced by large corporations. ST Agency conducts 600 hours of intensive education by 30 Japanese instructors at its own school in Myanmar, including a 150-hour 'Food Service Camp' that provides practical training. This ensures that staff can integrate into the workplace from the first day of assignment. Injinmue stated that the PDCA cycle and customer service skills learned during training have been extremely useful in practice, and she currently manages about 50 multinational staff members. Moving forward, the company plans to expand this 'ultra-fast career advancement model' to all sectors suffering from severe leadership shortages, such as nursing care and hospitality, to contribute to solving the social issue of Japan's declining working population.
