[ST Corp] 'Dinosaur Age Scent' Reed Diffuser, Developed with Fukui Prefecture, Released Exclusively in Hokuriku Region

ST Corp has announced the launch of the 'Dinosaur Age Scent' reed diffuser, a product utilizing an original fragrance developed in collaboration with Fukui Prefecture. It will be sold exclusively in the Hokuriku region, including Fukui, Ishikawa, and Toyama prefectures.

The fragrance lineup includes 'Dinosaur Earth,' 'Forest World,' and 'Thrilling Sky.' These scents are designed to recreate the atmosphere of the dinosaur era, intended for use as a souvenir that allows people to enjoy the world of dinosaurs in their daily lives, alongside memories of their travels.

Sales are scheduled to begin sequentially from late May at souvenir shops, tourist accommodation facilities, supermarkets, drugstores, home centers, and variety stores in the region. The price is open, with a retail price of approximately 3,850 yen (tax included).

A portion of the revenue from the sales of this product will be donated to Fukui Prefecture to support dinosaur-related educational and promotional activities.

Background of 'Dinosaur Age Scent' Development: The 'Dinosaur Age Scent' was developed based on a comprehensive partnership agreement signed between ST Corp and Fukui Prefecture in August 2024. It is part of an initiative to promote 'scent branding' with the aim of regional revitalization and showcasing Fukui's charm.

The fragrance was created with the cooperation of Fukui Prefecture and the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum, utilizing the technology of ST Corp's 100% subsidiary, Code Me. It was designed with images of ancient forests, skies, and lands in mind.

Business Diffuser Rental Service: Code Me also provides a commercial diffuser rental service to tourism and accommodation facilities in Fukui Prefecture, aiming to enhance the experiential value of facilities through spatial scent design.
