MIRAI to Open Nursing-Care Specialized Japanese Language School in Makati, Philippines in June

MIRAI Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hikaru Yasutomi), which develops education and recruitment businesses for foreign talent, will open a new 'MIRAI Japanese Language School' in the Makati metropolitan area, the economic center of the Philippines, in June 2026, aimed at employment in Japan's nursing care sector. As the first batch of students, the school will welcome students with no prior Japanese language experience and former technical interns with work experience in Japan. It will launch a specialized, full-boarding curriculum aimed at acquiring Specified Skilled Worker (nursing care) qualifications and developing high communication skills to become an immediate asset in Japanese nursing care workplaces. Currently, Japan's nursing care sector is facing a chronic labor shortage due to the super-aging society, making the expansion of foreign Specified Skilled Workers an urgent issue. By establishing an educational base in Makati, an economic city in the Philippines, MIRAI has established a high-quality educational environment and a smooth system for sending talent to Japan. The school adopts a hybrid structure where former technical interns demonstrate leadership to guide zero-start students, aiming to maximize learning efficiency.
