When and where will the 'Sakura-so Festival 2026' be held?

Admission is free. However, at the Urawa Station venue, potted primroses will be sold for 600 JPY each. Food and drinks are also available for purchase.

What happens if it rains?

The event at Sakuraso Park will be canceled in case of rain, but the event at the Urawa Station East Exit Ekimae Citizen's Plaza will be held regardless of weather.

~Enjoy the lovely Sakuraso (Japanese primrose) at the Tajimagahara Primrose Habitat, a Special Natural Monument of Japan~

The "Sakura-so Festival 2026" will be held on Saturday, April 11, at Sakuraso Park (Tajimagahara Primrose Habitat) and the Urawa Station East Exit Ekimae Citizen's Plaza. The Sakura-so Festival is held annually to coincide with the blooming season of the primroses at Tajimagahara. This year, both venues will be open for one day only, on Saturday. At Sakuraso Park, there will be stage events featuring brass bands from nearby elementary schools and folk dances, as well as popular inflatable play structures for children and food and beverage sales from kitchen cars. At the Urawa Station East Exit Ekimae Citizen's Plaza, there will be a real-cost sale and exhibition of primroses, as well as a cultivation consultation corner.

The primroses at the Tajimagahara habitat typically reach their peak bloom in early April. We invite you to come to the Sakura-so Festival and enjoy the official flower of Saitama City.
