CPC Petrochemical Division Creates Green Campus, Honored with Kaohsiung City Air Quality Purification Zone Corporate Contribution Award

CPC Corporation's Petrochemical Division has long been committed to greening school environments and improving air quality. Its efforts in sponsoring the air quality purification zone at Wanggong Elementary School in Lin Yuan District, Kaohsiung City, have been officially recognized, earning the '115th Year Air Quality Purification Zone Outstanding Sponsorship Unit Corporate Contribution Award' from the Kaohsiung City Environmental Protection Bureau. This honor highlights the company's deep-rooted local engagement and its concrete achievements in environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

The division has sponsored Wanggong Elementary's air purification zone for many years, consistently allocating maintenance funds and collaborating with the school to enhance its green spaces. Initiatives include upgrading the automatic irrigation system's water pump motor, optimizing pipeline layouts, pruning trees, and improving planting conditions. These measures have enhanced sunlight exposure across the campus while reducing leaf litter accumulation, significantly improving both landscape aesthetics and air purification efficiency.

Through joint efforts between the company and the school, Wanggong Elementary's greening achievements are evident. The campus now offers a comfortable and safe learning environment and has become a green space for community residents to relax and exercise. The improved landscape not only enhances students' learning quality but also serves ecological conservation and environmental education purposes.

Selected by the Kaohsiung City Environmental Protection Bureau, the Petrochemical Division received this year's 'Corporate Contribution Award' for its sustained commitment to campus environmental maintenance, proactive greening initiatives, and outstanding sponsorship results. Additionally, Wanggong Elementary's air purification zone ranked second in the 'Medium-Sized Campus Purification Zone' category, achieving a double honor that underscores the successful collaboration between enterprise and school in advancing environmental sustainability.
