Many job seekers struggle to identify suitable employment opportunities despite seeing numerous job advertisements. To assist residents in securing stable jobs and improving household living conditions and economic circumstances, the Nantou County Government has launched the '115th Annual Employment Promotion Service Program for Specific Groups and Employment-Vulnerable Individuals'—the 'Soaring Against the Wind, Walking Together' series. This initiative aims to help participants understand government employment counseling resources, vocational training programs, and employment incentive measures, providing crucial support on their job-seeking journey.
The first phase of the program includes two sessions specifically designed for employment-vulnerable families. The first session will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Puli Taiyi Farm, and the second on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Zhushan Cultural Park in Zhushan Township. Each session has a capacity of 25 participants, and registration will close once full. Family members are encouraged to participate together.
The program offers diverse and practical course content, including 'Government Incentives for Employment Promotion,' 'Exploring Nantou County’s Tourism Industry through Site Visits,' and 'Hands-on Experiences in Planting or Bamboo Craft.' Through industry visits, participants will gain insights into current industry conditions and job demand, while also reassessing their personal strengths, enhancing job-seeking skills, and learning about vocational training courses—ultimately supporting the development of new career paths.
The entire program is fully subsidized by the Social and Labor Affairs Bureau. Participants will be covered by accident insurance and provided with lunch. All attendees need to bring is a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Registration is convenient: simply scan the event’s QR code for online sign-up, or visit any local social welfare service center to consult with a social worker. With limited spots available, early registration is strongly encouraged.
The 'Soaring Against the Wind, Walking Together' series will continue uninterrupted throughout the year. Additional events include the 'Employment Promotion Program for Low- and Moderate-Income Households' and the 'Employment Support Program for Women Re-entering the Workforce' in August. In September, renowned speakers will be invited, promising engaging and inspiring sessions. Stay tuned to the county government’s official website for updates.
