On the 17th, Taiwan CPC Corporation held the 115th 'Energy Integrity Forum: Integrity Creates the Future' at the Hongnan Activity Center of the Refining Business Department. The forum invited anti-corruption, prosecution agencies, industry, government, academia, and supply chain partners to participate in an in-depth exchange on issues related to the quality management, safety practices, legal compliance, and corporate integrity of the energy equipment supply chain. The goal was to consolidate cross-domain consensus and jointly build a safe, transparent, and resilient energy industry environment.
Focusing on integrity management, procurement quality, and legal compliance, Taiwan CPC Corporation aims to enhance the safety and resilience of energy facilities. Taiwan CPC Corporation's General Manager Zhang Min stated that energy equipment and operating environments have high-risk characteristics such as high temperature, high pressure, and flammability. The quality of equipment, safety management, and procurement systems not only relate to the stability of national energy supply but also directly affect the safety of people's lives and property. CPC hopes to improve procurement quality management, perfect integrity management and anti-corruption mechanisms, and continuously enhance equipment inspection capabilities through the forum with supply chain partners, ensuring the safety of energy facilities from the source.
CPC pointed out that the company has been continuously holding enterprise integrity forums in recent years to promote integrity management culture. This year's forum was jointly guided by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Anti-Corruption Commission of the Ministry of Justice, the Kaohsiung Bridgehead District Prosecutors Office, and the Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office. It also invited procurement personnel and contractors to participate, aiming to deepen enterprise integrity governance and quality management mechanisms through cross-domain exchanges.
The forum arranged special lectures, enterprise governance experience sharing, and expert panel discussions, focusing on the theme of 'Deepening Energy Integrity, Strictly Guarding the Legal Line, and Jointly Creating an Integrity Supply Chain.' The Chief Prosecutor of the Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office, Wei Haoyong, reminded enterprises to strictly guard the boundaries of their dealings and establish a culture of courageously reporting illegal activities. The judicial authorities will also implement whistleblower protection mechanisms. At the same time, he urged procurement and acceptance personnel to administer according to law, avoiding the influence of private relationships or personal feelings on the execution of official duties, which may violate relevant laws on corruption.
Experts at the forum also shared corporate anti-corruption systems and management practices, suggesting learning from private sector red-line management systems to establish complete internal control and risk management mechanisms. They encouraged employees to reject corruption and jointly improve corporate governance effectiveness. They believed that integrity management is an important foundation for maintaining the safety of key infrastructure and ensuring stable energy supply.
Taiwan CPC Corporation emphasized that, as a state-owned enterprise, it will continue to adhere to the principles of law-based administration and integrity management, taking a zero-tolerance attitude towards any illegal acts. It will continue to promote anti-corruption advocacy, legal education, and the refinement of internal control systems, strengthen supply chain management and equipment quality control, and work with cooperative partners to create an integrity, transparent, safe, and resilient energy industry environment.
