In response to the transformative impact of AI on industries and workplaces, the Kaohsiung City Government Youth Bureau has launched its first two-day 'Port Awakening X Career Future – 2026 Great Port Youth AI Career Experience Camp,' which concluded successfully on the 17th. The program combined self-exploration, corporate visits, practical AI tool applications, and final presentations, guiding youth from self-awareness to real-world industry exposure, cultivating essential workplace competencies for the AI era. The Youth Bureau also announced that the 'Career Speaks to You' career seminar will be held on July 25, featuring actor Hsieh Tsu-wei sharing his life and career journey to inspire youth to bravely face future challenges.

Youth Bureau Director Lin Kai-hsuan emphasized that as AI technology rapidly evolves, it is crucial for youth not only to learn how to operate tools but also to develop cross-disciplinary self-learning abilities and problem-solving mindsets using AI. He hopes participants will transform their camp experiences into career competitiveness, leveraging AI to amplify their strengths and find their optimal positioning in future workplaces.

The camp kicked off with an MBTI personality exploration session led by a psychologist, helping participants understand their personal traits and strengths to reflect on future career paths. This was followed by an AI application course introducing cutting-edge topics such as AI agents and automation workflows, encouraging youth to evolve from tool users to proactive problem solvers using AI.

Participants also visited the Chunghwa Telecom Smart Park to witness firsthand how smart technologies like 5G, AI image recognition, AIoT, and augmented reality (AR) are applied in industries and urban governance. This immersive experience allowed youth to grasp technological trends and future employment opportunities.

The second day focused on workplace soft skills and AI integration. Instructors shared communication techniques and used generative AI tools like Google NotebookLM to teach participants how to build personal resume material databases, enhancing resume organization and job-hunting efficiency—positioning AI as a vital career planning assistant.

The event culminated in the 'Career Level Up Challenge,' where participants synthesized their two-day learning into group presentations. The Youth Bureau awarded prizes for Best Presentation, Best AI Tool Application, and Best Team Collaboration, recognizing the youth's achievements.

The Youth Bureau stated that the 'Career Speaks to You' series will continue offering career seminars, workplace experiences, and themed camps to help youth explore career directions and strengthen employability. The next event will be held on July 25 at 2:30 PM at the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts Lecture Hall, where actor Hsieh Tsu-wei will speak on the theme 'A Low Starting Point Isn't the End,' sharing his 30+ years of growth and career insights in the entertainment industry to empower youth with confidence for the AI era's new challenges.
