Psychiatrist Shen Cheng-nan, who recently resumed using his Facebook account, announced today (19) that he will meet with Ko Wen-je, former mayor of Taipei and founding chairman of the Taiwan People's Party. Shen expressed excitement, posting, "Ko P is going to meet with me!"
Shen recalled their last meeting in July 2021 during the pandemic, when they discussed防疫 (pandemic prevention) via video call. At the time, Ko expressed concern about Taipei's inability to achieve zero-COVID, to which Shen firmly responded, "It will definitely be possible."
Reflecting on the changes over the past five years, Shen noted that Ko was once surrounded by many medical professionals, but the situation has now shifted significantly.
Regarding the upcoming meeting, Shen stated he will personally assure Ko that "the legal case will be fine." He highly praised Ko's dedication, describing him as someone who genuinely sacrificed his status as a world-class physician to "step down" and enter politics.
Originally, Ko had offered to visit Shen, but Shen politely declined and instead decided to travel north to meet Ko at his office.
Taking the opportunity, Shen enthusiastically recommended nearby restaurants. He praised "Li Yuan Tang Bao" and "Hua Niang Xiao Guan," known as a favorite of Jensen Huang, as "excellent neighborhood restaurants." He also mentioned "Qing Cheng Hainan Chicken Rice," which he enjoyed years ago while studying nearby, calling it "the ceiling of Hainanese chicken rice."
