The Kaohsiung Pop Music Center, in collaboration with the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) of Thailand, will host the 'Just Chill Party: Thai Select S2' from August 22 to 23, starting at 4:00 PM at the Coral Reef Cluster of the Kaohsiung Pop Music Center. Building on the success of last year’s event, which attracted nearly 100,000 visitors, this year’s edition expands in scale with nearly 100 stalls offering Thai cuisine, cultural goods, aromatherapy products, and lifestyle items, creating an immersive Thai lifestyle experience. Admission is free.

The event features 11 restaurants certified by Thailand’s official 'Thai SELECT' program, including Pad Thai Home, Adorn Royal Thai Cuisine, and Sibsen Noodle Bar—brands recognized for six consecutive years by the Michelin Bib Gourmand. The festival also hosts performances by 14 Taiwanese and Thai artists. Thai acts include popular singer YourMOOD, singer-songwriter EURO, and indie band Quicksand bed. Taiwanese performers include boy group Ozone, girl group babyMINT, singer Juice Boy, band Pallas, and artists such as Fan Fan, Ko Chih-han, DJ Rin, and DJ Hawaii, delivering pop, rock, dance, and DJ sets.

Additionally, two exclusive cooking shows will feature cast members from popular Thai BL dramas. YourMOOD, Best, and Nest from 'Taste of Love,' alongside Tan, Prite, Focus, Armyru, and Shino from 'Predicting Love,' will compete in culinary challenges, allowing fans to see their idols in a new light. The event also includes Thai dance workshops, traditional costume experiences, and a harbor-side dance parade.

Kaohsiung Pop Music Center CEO Ting Tu-lan stated that the event, now in its second year, aims to deepen cultural exchange between Taiwan and Thailand through music, food, and shared experiences, enhancing Kaohsiung’s cultural vibrancy. DITP Director Pei-Pei Li highlighted this year’s theme of 'immersive cultural experience,' emphasizing interactive activities beyond music. Evening programs will combine aerobic dance sessions with classic Thai songs to amplify the festive atmosphere.

Following last year’s water-based activities, this year introduces 'Water Boxing'—a fun experience where participants stand on SUP (stand-up paddle) boards wearing oversized inflatable boxing gloves for playful combat. Paired with Thai-inspired drinks, it offers a unique summer experience by the harbor. Registration for experiential activities opens online on July 27. Additional event details are available on the Kaohsiung Pop Music Center’s official website and social media platforms.
