The overall profit performance of Taiwan's 13 financial holding companies in June and the first half of the year was fully disclosed. Although the Taiwan Stock Exchange reached a historic high of 48,000 points in June and achieved a record of breaking the trillion yuan mark in trading volume for 47 consecutive days, the financial industry's single-month profit did not reach a new high. Statistics show that in June, 7 financial holding companies saw a decline in single-month profit, and the total single-month profit for all companies in June was approximately 73.492 billion yuan, a slight decrease of about 3% from 75.9 billion yuan in May, and also a decrease from the highest point of the year in April, which was 103.3 billion yuan. In the June single-month profit ranking, Cathay Financial Holding took the top spot with an impressive performance of 16.59 billion yuan; Taipei Fubon Bank ranked second with 9.49 billion yuan; and Taiwan Business Bank ranked third with 8.96 billion yuan. If we look at the growth rate of single-month profit, Taiwan Business Bank's single-month profit grew significantly by 48% compared to the previous month, becoming the single-month growth champion in June. In addition, KGI Financial Holding and E.Sun Financial Holding also performed exceptionally well in June, both achieving a single-month growth rate of over 28%. Cumulatively, the overall performance for the first half of the year, under the condition of aligning with IFRS 17 and not including stock disposal gains, the 13 financial holding companies made a total profit of 440.875 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth rate of 77.2%, setting a new record for the highest same-period historical record. In terms of cumulative profit amount, Fubon Financial Holding took the first place with an impressive performance of 97.34 billion yuan; Cathay Financial Holding ranked second with 76.52 billion yuan; and the newly merged Taiwan Business Bank surpassed China Trust Financial Holding's 39.537 billion yuan with 43.83 billion yuan, making it the first time to enter the top three in cumulative profit. The fifth to eighth places were Fubon Financial Holding, KGI Financial Holding, E.Sun Financial Holding, and E. Sun Commercial Bank, while the state-owned leader Cathay Financial Holding fell to the back of the pack. Considering the capital scale, Fubon Financial Holding continued to dominate with an earnings per share (EPS) of 6.67 yuan; Cathay Financial Holding ranked second with 4.95 yuan; and the brokerage leader Fubon Financial Holding defeated China Trust Financial Holding's 1.96 yuan with 2.74 yuan, securing the third place in cumulative EPS. Comparing the growth momentum of each financial holding company in the first half of the year, KGI Financial Holding demonstrated strong explosive power, with a cumulative profit year-on-year growth of 4.19 times, winning the title of the first half's "profit growth king". Taiwan Business Bank and E.Sun Financial Holding were not far behind, with both achieving a stunning growth rate of over 3 times in the first half of the year; Fubon Financial Holding also achieved a remarkable increase of more than double. In contrast, China Trust Financial Holding's year-on-year growth rate in the first half of the year was only 10%, with a weaker growth momentum compared to its peers, not only losing the throne of the top three in profit but also experiencing the situation where its single-month profit, cumulative profit, and EPS per share were all not able to enter the top three.
