New Kaohsiung Lions Club Holds 34th Installation Ceremony, Tsai Yu-Hsiao Assumes Presidency to Advance Public Service

The New Kaohsiung Lions Club of Lions Clubs International District 300E-5 held its 34th Installation Ceremony on April 25, officially launching the new leadership team led by Yu-Hsiao Tsai, Chairman of Jiuding Tianxin Culinary Culture Co., Ltd. The ceremony was attended by Legislative Councilor Hsu Chih-Chieh, Kaohsiung City Councilors Huang Hsiang-Shu, Lin Chih-Hung, Cheng Meng-Ju, Chang Po-Yang, and Youth Affairs Bureau Director Lin Kai-Hsuan, among other distinguished guests. District Governor Wan-Chi Yang, past presidents, fellow Lions members, and community leaders also gathered to witness the inauguration of the new team.

Tsai expressed deep appreciation for the achievements of outgoing President Chou Ting-Min, who led the club to outstanding results in organizational development, member engagement, and public service over the past year—fully embodying the Lions motto of 'We Serve' and laying a solid foundation for the incoming administration.

Expressing honor and responsibility, Tsai pledged to work closely with past presidents and all club members to continue advancing public welfare, social services, and youth development initiatives. He emphasized integrating broader social resources to expand the club’s service capacity and deliver compassion and support to more people in need.

Demonstrating immediate commitment to公益, Tsai announced a donation of NT$100,000 from the club’s internal fund to sponsor the 11th Taiwan Indigenous Boxing Championship. This initiative aims to nurture talented athletes, support young boxers in pursuing their dreams, and help them achieve international recognition and represent Taiwan on global stages.

Tsai also extended special gratitude to Yu-Ming Tsai, President of the Wuchih Harbor Lions Club, for traveling from afar to attend the ceremony. He highlighted the long-standing close collaboration between the two clubs, which consistently support each other during major events, exemplifying the Lions spirit of cross-district cooperation and community service. He also thanked the presidents and members of all clubs in District 300E-5 Zone 2627 for their presence, which added great honor to the Installation Ceremony.

The New Kaohsiung Lions Club reaffirmed its commitment to serving society in the new term, uniting various sectors to promote公益 initiatives and social care. Through tangible actions and community engagement, the club aims to spread love and hope, contributing to a warmer, more fulfilling Kaohsiung.
