TCC Group Chairman Chang An-ping and CEO Cheng Yao-hui held a video conference this evening (27th) with a group of international investment banks and advisors, officially launching TCC's European listing plan (Project Arcadia). This marks a significant milestone as TCC begins its strategic expansion into European capital markets.

The meeting focused on discussions regarding listing strategy, timeline planning, and preparation tasks. The plan will proceed through formal procedures and be submitted for review at the August board meeting, further advancing TCC’s presence in European capital markets.

During the meeting, Chairman Chang emphasized that for TCC, Project Arcadia symbolizes the company’s desire to present itself not merely as a cement producer, but as an enterprise actively redefining the future of the building materials industry through the European platform. Unlike traditional industries that focus solely on production scale or financial performance, TCC aims to demonstrate how innovation in technology, materials, and global operations is building a low-carbon building materials ecosystem for the future.

Chang stressed that for TCC, the journey toward net zero is not simply reliant on a single technology like carbon capture, but is a long-term endeavor encompassing energy transition, process optimization, development of alternative raw materials and fuels, and overall industrial model innovation.

TCC first announced its evaluation of a European listing during its 80th-anniversary celebration in May 2024. The project name 'Arcadia' is derived from the ancient Greek 'Arcadia,' which, since the Renaissance, has symbolized sustainability, ideal living, and a better future in Western culture.

Chairman Chang explained that naming the European listing initiative 'Arcadia' reflects TCC’s aspiration to collaborate with global partners in advancing the building materials industry toward a more low-carbon, innovative, and sustainable future. By fostering exchanges of technology, talent, and management expertise between East and West, TCC aims to accelerate continuous innovation in manufacturing processes, product development, and business models—creating new value for the industry and contributing to a better world.
