The Beyblade craze continues to sweep across Taiwan, with Kaohsiung hosting two major tournaments this weekend. Following the '2026 Ultimate Cup' at Dream Mall on July 25, the 'Golden, Silver, Bronze, and Azure Dragon Divine Sword Championship' took place on the 26th at Xinshang Elementary School in Zuoying District. Co-organized by youth-led startups and supported by Chang Yi-Li, a candidate for the Zuonan District City Council and former director of Kaohsiung's Youth Affairs Bureau, this event is hailed as the largest Beyblade competition in southern Taiwan. It attracted 480 top-tier Beyblade players and nearly 1,000 participants and parents, creating an electrifying atmosphere.

The tournament brought together Beyblade enthusiasts from across Taiwan. Prominent KOLs such as Snow Rabbit, A-Tu, and Beyblade Annihilator appeared to exchange techniques and experiences. Council candidates Zhang Yili, Deng Qiaopei, Zhang Yaozhong, and incumbent councilor Zhang Boyang also attended, highlighting the cross-generational appeal and community-building power of Beyblade.

Chang Yi-Li, who helped facilitate the event, expressed gratitude to youth entrepreneurial teams including Gogogo Card Shop, Miansnow Ice, Monster Burger, Meow Model Hall, and the Alleyway Exploration Map Project for their collaborative efforts in creating a fair and well-organized competition environment. He especially thanked Principal Wang Yen-Yen of Xinshang Elementary School for providing a comfortable, air-conditioned venue, allowing players and parents to enjoy the event safely during the scorching summer heat.

As a token of appreciation, the organizers prepared highly sought-after dream prizes, including rare Beyblades such as the 'Divine Staff,' 'Silver Wolf,' and the coveted 'Azure Dragon Divine Sword,' motivating players to compete fiercely for glory.

In addition to the intense matches, food stalls offering egg cakes, coffee, and handmade snow ice were set up, allowing players and accompanying parents to recharge and enjoy a joyful weekend together.

Chang Yi-Li shared his heartfelt impressions, stating that seeing nearly a thousand children and adults gather through Beyblade to compete, interact, and share joy was deeply moving. He emphasized that beyond winning or losing, the event's true value lies in fostering friendship, sportsmanship, and parent-child bonding. He pledged continued support for youth and family-oriented leisure activities to inject more youthful, diverse, and healthy energy into Kaohsiung.
