New Taipei mayoral candidate and legislator Su Chiao-hui released a highlight video of recent forums on social media this evening (27th), reviewing the outcomes of over 35 grassroots forums held since April with Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) district councilors and candidates. Su joined hands with New Taipei councilor candidates Chen Jun-yan and Weng Zhen-zhou, as well as councilor Peng Yi-shu, to jointly outline development blueprints for Banqiao, Xinzhuang, and Tucheng, emphasizing collaboration with local partners to build a New Taipei City that combines compassionate care with innovative development.

Su stated that through these forums, she has not only reported to residents on the achievements secured over the past decade in the Legislative Yuan for local development, but also continuously listened to community voices to shape future visions for each administrative district. She urged supporters to become ambassadors of her vision, helping more citizens understand her plans for New Taipei and co-creating a more livable and competitive city.

Regarding Banqiao’s development, Su highlighted its dual identity as New Taipei’s political and business hub with rich historical and cultural heritage. She pledged to actively promote government-led urban renewal, integrating urban aesthetics and cultural depth to create modern yet human-centered urban spaces. She also emphasized accelerating the construction of the Banqiao Medical Park and enhancing medical capacity through smart healthcare services.

Su endorsed councilor candidate Chen Jun-yan, praising his long-standing grassroots engagement—from education work to serving as a legislative and council assistant—with professional expertise and community service experience. She expressed hope that new-generation talent like Chen would bring innovative energy into the council and revitalize Banqiao.

On Xinzhuang, Su noted that Weng Zhen-zhou has served the community for 14 years, handling over 30,000 service cases and more than 10,000 legal consultations. A key local partner, Weng has long advocated for campus improvements and transportation infrastructure. Su proposed a tourism development vision for Xinzhuang, aiming to promote cultural assets like the Guanjiangshou tradition through city marketing. She also plans to launch a 'Historic Street Tourism Voucher' to connect特色 commercial districts and old streets across New Taipei, boosting tourism and stimulating local economic growth.

For Tucheng’s future, Su commended councilor Peng Yi-shu for his long-term dedication to transportation, fire services, education, and local development, particularly his advocacy for major projects like the San-ying Line, Tucheng-Shulin Line, Wanda-Zhonghe Line, and the Judicial Park. As one of the most knowledgeable representatives on local needs, Peng has played a crucial role in advancing these initiatives.

With the Judicial Park nearing completion, Su pointed out that the relocation of the Tucheng Detention Center presents a pivotal opportunity for urban development. She proposed supporting the creation of a 'Comprehensive International Sports and Cultural Center' on the site, integrating sports, arts, and leisure functions to provide diverse public spaces and propel Tucheng into its next phase of growth.

Su emphasized that New Taipei’s 29 administrative districts each possess unique characteristics and development potential, requiring committed, local-savvy partners. She expressed confidence in Chen Jun-yan, Weng Zhen-zhou, and Peng Yi-shu—praising their professionalism, passion, and execution ability—and expressed her hope to form a 'strongest New Taipei team' to continue upgrading infrastructure across Banqiao, Xinzhuang, Tucheng, and beyond, building a happier, more progressive New Taipei City.
