The much-anticipated '2026 Bali Urban Sand Sculpture Exhibition' will open on August 1 at Bali Left Bank Park, bringing summer joy to visitors of all ages. This year’s theme, 'Summer Festival,' showcases 16 sand sculptures based on popular characters, blending riverside scenery with artistic creativity to create a family-friendly summer destination.
The highly anticipated 'Sand Artist Workshop' will be held in 24 sessions across multiple batches, inviting families and children to participate. Huang Yu-Bin, Director of the New Taipei City Riverfront Management Office, stated, 'Following last year’s successful collaboration with Digimon, this year we are partnering with Japan’s beloved character franchise San-X Universe to present 16 themed sand sculptures, multiple inflatable character displays, and a nighttime light environment.'
On opening day (August 1), Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma will make live appearances, and visitors who complete designated check-in tasks can receive limited-edition opening gifts starting at 18:30, while supplies last.
Additionally, the popular 'Sand Artist Workshop' invites children to experience sand sculpting under the guidance of professional artists and create their own masterpieces. The workshop will be held every Saturday from August 8 to September 26 at the beach area along Bali Left Bank Park, with three daily sessions (14:00–14:40, 15:00–15:40, 16:00–16:40), each limited to 15 participants. Open to children aged 8 to 15 (those under 12 must be accompanied by a parent). Participation is free of charge.
