Equipment Safety During Water Shutoff Taiwan Water Corporation advises users to complete water storage at least 6 hours before the shutoff to avoid sudden drops in water pressure at pipeline ends caused by last-minute water collection.

After the shutoff begins, residents should turn off the power to their home water pumps. Continuous operation without water may cause pump overheating, damage, or even fire. If the main water valve after the building’s meter is not closed, negative pressure may draw in contaminants.

Low Water Pressure After Service Resumes After water service resumes, open all faucets to release trapped air and stabilize water flow. Residents in pipeline endpoints, high-rise buildings, or elevated areas may experience slower pressure recovery.

If water still does not return after a reasonable time, contact Taiwan Water Corporation for professional inspection and troubleshooting.
