Chugye Pharmaceutical Hosts All-Age Friendly Children's Festival at Changshou Park

Grandparents happily challenged with a large yellow ball, while children and volunteers cheered on the sidelines, filling the activity center at Changshou Park in Shulin District, New Taipei City with laughter. Chugye Pharmaceutical hosted the second Chugye All-Age Friendly Children's Festival, inviting 36 local elders and 30 students from Wenlin Elementary School to participate. Through fun competitions, finger exercises, and interactive games, people of different generations interacted and deepened their understanding of each other. Chugye Enterprise started in Shulin in 1952 and donated land 20 years ago to help rebuild Changshou Park. Today, the company returned to the familiar place to hold a charity event, continuing over 70 years of local affection from donating land to build the park to long-term community care. Elders and children teamed up to dribble balls and challenge obstacles, creating a lively atmosphere on site. A participating grandmother happily expressed that she was most delighted to have children accompanying her to dribble balls. Service providers also crossed ages. In addition to Chugye employees serving as volunteers, the Taiwan Yongan Care Association also mobilized parent-child pairs to help with the booths, transforming children from recipients of care to active companions for the elderly. A young volunteer expressed that seeing the grandparents smile while playing games made them happy too. The event was organized by Chugye Pharmaceutical, with co-organization by the Shulin District Office, Wenlin Elementary School, Chugye Holdings, and the Taiwan Yongan Care Association, combining the forces of government, schools, enterprises, and civil society to create a cross-generational integrated community model. Chen Daiji, the head of the Social and Cultural Affairs Division of the Shulin District Office, stated that it is a very precious force outside of government resources for local enterprises to treat community residents as family. Teacher Ji of Wenlin Elementary School pointed out that children learn companionship and respect through the activity, which is irreplaceable life education that textbooks cannot provide. Vice General Manager Chen Yingqi of Chugye Pharmaceutical expressed that Chugye Enterprise has been continuously investing in Shulin's charity in recent years, from epidemic prevention supplies, green-silver co-creation, respect for the elderly during the Double Ninth Festival, to the All-Age Children's Festival and caring for lonely elders. These related actions are not one-time events but are long-term commitments that accumulate year by year. Volunteer Lu Kunhong of Chugye Pharmaceutical mentioned that the company planted the park in the past, and now employees return here as volunteers, bringing health and companionship back to their hometown. Seeing the elders and children laughing together is the most realistic manifestation of the company's spirit, and they hope this care can be passed on.
