Taipei Medical University Shuang Ho Hospital held the inauguration ceremony for its 7th hospital director, appointing renowned rehabilitation medicine expert Professor Liu Tsan-Hung as the new director. In the presence of Lin Ching-Feng, Executive Director of the Administration for Medical and Social Welfare Institutions under the Ministry of Health and Welfare; Chen Yun-Chiu, Director of the New Taipei City Health Bureau; Taipei Medical University Chairman Chen Jui-Chieh; President Wu Mai-Ssu; as well as legislators and local dignitaries, outgoing Director Li Ming-Zhe formally handed over the official seal to Director Liu, symbolizing the transfer of responsibility and mission, and marking a new chapter in Shuang Ho Hospital's development.
Chairman Chen Jui-Chieh of Taipei Medical University stated that Shuang Ho Hospital is a vital member of the TMU healthcare system. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of past directors and all staff, the hospital has continuously enhanced its medical quality, teaching, research, and social service capabilities, earning widespread recognition. He expressed hope that Director Liu will lead the team to leverage TMU's integrated strengths in healthcare, education, research, and biomedical innovation, deepen cross-domain collaboration, and further improve healthcare and patient care to safeguard public health.
Director Liu Tsan-Hung graduated from Taipei Medical University's School of Medicine and previously served in remote islands of Penghu. He has since held long-term positions at Wan Fang Hospital and Shuang Ho Hospital, dedicating over 30 years to the field of rehabilitation medicine. His expertise lies in stroke, spinal cord injury, and neurological rehabilitation. He has served as Director of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Wan Fang Hospital, President of Wan Fang Hospital, Director of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Shuang Ho Hospital, Teaching Deputy Director, and Medical Deputy Director. With extensive experience in clinical practice, teaching, research, and hospital management, he has long been committed to improving medical quality, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, and cultivating talent, earning high regard within the medical community.
"The core of healthcare will always be people!" emphasized Director Liu. He described Shuang Ho Hospital as a vibrant and innovative medical center, whose greatest strength lies in its professional, passionate, and collaborative staff.
