The most thrilling family showdown of the summer vacation has arrived. The Taiwan Chain Franchise Promotion Association is launching the first-ever 'White Storm Domestic Fresh Milk Spinning Top Championship' at the 2026 Taiwan Chain Franchise Startup Expo Kaohsiung Exhibition, taking place on August 1–2 at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center. Participants can register by presenting receipts for domestic fresh milk purchases, and the venue will distribute numerous battle spinning tops, ensuring children have endless fun while encouraging entire families to actively support Taiwan's dairy farmers.
Anticipation has been overwhelming, with over 1,000 people registering before the event even began. Each day, 128 competitors will face off from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in a single-elimination format, totaling 256 slots across two days. Match pairings will be drawn randomly on-site, adding unpredictability and excitement to every battle.
Those not selected through the initial lottery need not worry—80 additional on-site registration slots are available for anyone presenting a valid domestic fresh milk receipt, on a first-come, first-served basis until full.
Top spinning enthusiasts will have the chance to win premium battle gear. Selected child participants will receive exclusive competition spinning tops, and multiple raffles during the event will give attendees opportunities to take home popular spinning top models.
The competition is divided into mixed-age and children’s categories, with the top four finalists in each category winning high-end battle spinning tops. Advancing from preliminaries to finals tests not only launching techniques and top configurations but also quick thinking, transforming the exhibition hall into a dynamic family-friendly arena.
Making milk promotion fun and engaging: no more lectures. The Taiwan Chain Franchise Promotion Association notes that past campaigns for domestic fresh milk have focused on nutrition, food safety, and culinary applications. However, one-way messaging often fails to capture children’s attention. This year, the association has shifted strategy, centering on what children want to play with, what parents are willing to buy, and activities the whole family can enjoy—linking popular spinning top battles with domestic milk consumption.
The goal is to create an educational yet entertaining experience where children proactively ask parents to buy domestic milk, then join them at the expo to compete. From purchase to interaction to competition, supporting domestic milk becomes more than a slogan—it becomes a shared family lifestyle.
The 'White Storm' stands with dairy farmers, connecting farms, supply chains, and consumers. Association Chairman Wu Yung-Chiang emphasizes that domestic fresh milk represents a vital agricultural supply chain, linking Taiwan’s dairy farmers, cold-chain logistics, food processing, restaurant brands, and retail channels. By leveraging the franchise expo platform and chain network resources, the association aims to showcase the diverse applications of domestic milk in beverages, desserts, and foodservice markets.
In recent years, the association has hosted milk-based cooking, beverage, and dessert competitions. This year, it adds battle spinning tops to ignite a 'White Storm.' Organizers hope that through children’s favorite competitive activity, family engagement will increase, more households will recognize the quality of Taiwan’s fresh milk, and support for local dairy farmers will grow—fostering a virtuous cycle benefiting agriculture, production, distribution, and consumers alike.
