Many people often ask me, 'Pokamon, the card benefits have changed again in the second half—exactly which cards should I keep?' This time, I've eliminated marketing gimmicks like 'new user only' offers. Only cards that deliver high rewards to both new and existing users are considered 'true god cards'! Whether you're a new or existing customer, you can enjoy the rewards—this is what defines a 'true god card'! If your current card portfolio yields less than 3% average return, consider upgrading using this 'Top 10' list. I've compiled a full analysis—check it out now!

Top 10 God Cards for the Second Half of 2026 (Image source: Pokamon's Finance Notebook)

No.10: HSBC Traveler Card – 18 NTD/mile, unlimited (approx. 2.77% cashback)

Why recommended: The ultimate 'no-brainer' card! Highly recommended as the main card for my entire family, hence ranked 10th.

This card remains unchanged and highly usable in the second half of 2026! The '2.77% cashback' I mention—how do you get it? Hold the 'HSBC Traveler Infinite Card' to earn 18 NTD/mile on domestic spending, unlimited. Link it to electronic payment platforms like LINE Pay, JKO Pay, icash Pay, iPASS MONEy, or EasyCard Pay, and you still get 18 NTD/mile, unlimited. Given that EVA Air miles are sold on their official site for about 0.5 NTD/mile, this equates to 0.5/18 = 2.77% cashback. Of course, using miles to redeem long-haul business class tickets can yield cashback rates of 10–20%. The more expensive the ticket, the better the value!

In May 2026, I flew from Los Angeles back to Taipei on EVA Air BR005. To redeem this one-way business class ticket with miles requires 75,000 miles. With the 'HSBC Traveler Card,' you just need to spend 75,000 × 18 = 1.35 million NTD domestically, or 750,000 NTD overseas to earn enough miles.

The official one-way fare for this route is 4,998 USD (approx. 154,938 NTD). Here’s the cashback rate calculation:

Domestic spending only: 154,938 / 1,350,000 = 11.4%

Overseas spending only: 154,938 / 750,000 = 20.6%

Selling miles is extremely unprofitable! But if you use the card diligently and accumulate miles wisely, redeeming long-haul business class tickets can yield cashback rates starting at 10%, reaching up to 20%. Extremely powerful!

This card has been around for over 6 years. I've paid the 8,000 NTD annual fee every year (only half during the pandemic). The card's benefits haven't been drastically downgraded over time. I enjoy 4 airport transfers and 8 lounge visits annually (for cardholder only). It's ideal for those who spend over 500,000–1 million NTD annually. If you can issue supplementary cards for your family and collectively spend over 3 million NTD a year, your mileage accumulation accelerates even faster.

How to calculate the true value of HSBC Traveler Card miles? Best used to redeem EVA Air or Asia Miles. Since the cash value of mileage tickets fluctuates with peak/off-peak seasons, it's variable.

No.09: CTBC China Airlines Dynasty Infinite Card – 2-Year Gold Membership + 6 NTD/mile overseas

Why recommended: The main card and one supplementary card both receive 2-year Gold membership—exceptional value! Hence ranked 9th.

How to get the 2-year Gold membership? Pay the 22,000 NTD annual fee to get this premium co-branded card, and both China Airlines and CTBC will grant '2-year Gold membership' to both the primary and one supplementary cardholder. To renew Gold status or upgrade to Jade, you'll need to purchase China Airlines tickets and fly to accumulate status.

The greatest value of China Airlines miles is redeeming long-haul business class tickets. For example, my 2025 CI75 Taipei→Rome business class flight. Buying a round-trip transcontinental business class ticket with cash? You'd need at least 200,000 NTD! China Airlines business class is currently in high demand. Using miles to redeem requires only 160,000 miles, saving a huge amount. Miles can deliver value exceeding 1 NTD per point, with cashback rates easily reaching 10–15%. No problem!

How to calculate the true value of miles? Since ticket cash value varies by season, it's variable. For example, using accumulated miles to redeem long-haul business class can push your cashback rate to 20%.

No.8: Cathay United CUBE Card – Up to 3.3–10% Xiaoshu Points!

Why recommended: A pioneer in 'benefit switching' credit cards. Xiaoshu Points can be redeemed for EVA Air miles at an optimal rate of 9.09 NTD/mile—making it a powerful points-to-miles card. Hence ranked 8th.

How to get 3.3% back? Switch to 'Digital Life / Travel / Shopping' on the spending day and hold Cathay United VIP wealth management status (3M NTD in deposits) to get 3.3% Xiaoshu Points. Special offers like 'Kids Day' or 'Birthday' can boost it to 10%. When redeeming, if you hold the 'Cathay United World Card,' you get preferential rates: 300 points = 1,000 airline miles (approx. 9.09 NTD/mile). Without the World Card, it's about 12 NTD/mile.

How to calculate Xiaoshu Points' true value? If used for bill payment, 1 point = 1 NTD—no multiplier. If redeemed for EVA/Asia Miles, value can be amplified. Since ticket prices vary by season, it's variable. For example, using points for long-haul EVA business class can yield 10–20% cashback.

No.7: Yuanta SPORT Card – 5% Feng Points via Apple Pay!

Why recommended: The ultimate Apple Pay card for budget-conscious users! Complete a monthly fitness task, and all Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay spending that month earns 5%—up to 5,000 NTD! Hence ranked 7th.

Complete 10,000 kcal burned or 10 Apple Watch full rings monthly, and you get 1% bonus = up to 2% total, earning 100 Feng Points monthly. Plus, 3% bonus at designated merchants (300 points/month), so up to 10,000 NTD earns 5%. Spending from 5,001–10,000 NTD earns 4%. Recommend spending 5,000 NTD/month. For low-income users, this is sufficient. Or spend 10,000 NTD/month for an average 4.5% return—on par with E.SUN Unicard. Ideal for those spending 10,000 NTD monthly.

No.6: HSBC Live+ Cashback Card – 5.88% return

Why recommended: A mileage 'mini-god card'! Perfect for under 20,000 NTD monthly spending—10 NTD/mile at designated merchants. Extremely useful! Hence ranked 6th.

How to get 5.88%? Base 0.88% unlimited. Spend at dining, shopping, entertainment (MCC code) for 3% (888/month, max 29,600 NTD). Pay via HSBC account for +1% (200/month). Spend overseas in Japan/Singapore/Malaysia/Vietnam/Philippines/India/Sri Lanka at physical restaurants for +1% (200/month). Max 5.88%.

How to calculate HSBC Live+ cashback value? If used for bill credit, 1:1—no multiplier. If converted to miles, 1:2 multiplier—redeemable for EVA, China Airlines, Asia Miles, Singapore Airlines. Since ticket value fluctuates, 5.88% cashback ≈ 8.5 NTD/mile—a very high accumulation rate.

No.05: Yuanta DAWHO Card – Up to 6% cashback!

Why recommended: 5% domestic / 6% overseas cashback—truly attractive! Hence ranked 5th by Pokamon.

How to get 6% cashback? Maintain 1M NTD with Yuanta and complete one of two 'wealth tasks.'
