The 'Deep Love Dream-Building Market and Themed Performance Event,' organized by Kaohsiung City's Labor Bureau, kicked off energetically on the 1st at Weiwuying Banyan Plaza. The event brought together individuals with disabilities, trainees from the Bo'ai Vocational Skills Training Center, and multiple nonprofit organizations to set up booths selling unique local delicacies and cultural-creative products. With inclusive game zones and lucky draw activities, the event attracted over 2,000 visitors and families who showed tangible support for the entrepreneurship and employment of people with disabilities.
The highlight of the event was the performance by the Shrimp A Cappella Blind Choir, winners of the international A Cappella competition and performers at the Presidential Office Concert. They showcased world-class vocal abilities through songs such as 'Home After,' 'Heart Blossoms,' and 'Night Snack Struggle.' On-site, performances were also delivered by the Kiwi Fruit Band, Sungkwang Band, blind singer Chu Yu-Hao, saxophonist Deng Yuan-Sheng, Kaohsiung Chamber Ensemble, Renjian Art Workshop Children's Dance Troupe, and Douzi Theater Group. These captivating acts highlighted the artistic talents of people with disabilities and inspired others to overcome limitations and pursue their dreams.

Among the market stalls were entrepreneurial outcomes from trainees of the 'Leather Craft Basics Class' at the Labor Bureau's Bo'ai Vocational Skills Training Center. Chen, the vendor of 'Qianqian Handmade,' previously trained in light woodworking and furthered her skills in leather crafting to diversify her creations. Through continuous practice and consultation with instructors, she has refined the quality of her work. Wu, the vendor of 'A Bit of Sunshine,' combined handmade leather goods with original crochet designs to create a unique brand identity. She hopes to gain entrepreneurial experience through direct consumer interaction at the market and steadily advance on her creative journey.
The Labor Bureau emphasized that the 'Deep Love Dream-Building Market' is more than just a sales platform—it aims to showcase the creativity, professionalism, and dedication of people with disabilities. Through performances, market activities, and interactive experiences, the event fosters diverse opportunities for social engagement and raises awareness of the limitless potential of individuals with disabilities.
Labor Bureau Director Jiang Jian-Xing stated that the 'Deep Love Dream-Building Market' is a key initiative in promoting disability equality and employment support. It helps individuals with disabilities enter the market and build entrepreneurial confidence. The bureau will continue to integrate more resources and events to expand employment and entrepreneurial opportunities, working toward building a barrier-free, inclusive city.
The Labor Bureau also announced that the year's final 'Deep Love Dream-Building Market' will be held on September 5 at the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, adopting a family picnic style. The public is invited to bring their families to enjoy a relaxing afternoon while actively supporting people with disabilities in realizing their dreams.
