The Chinese Taipei Baseball Association held its leadership election on the 2nd, with Chu Ling-wen, Vice President of CTBC Entertainment, elected as the 14th President—officially becoming the first female president since the association's founding. Kuo Chih-hui, who lost the election, stated that his failure to secure sufficient support for the presidency was due to his own shortcomings, and he accepted the result with composure while humbly reflecting on his efforts. "If Taiwan baseball needs me, I will always step forward without hesitation. If Taiwan baseball can become better because of this, that will be my greatest comfort," said Kuo.

Kuo expressed that the CTBA election had concluded successfully. "First, I sincerely congratulate the newly elected president and all elected directors and supervisors. I also deeply thank everyone who has supported, encouraged, reminded, and advised me during this period. Regardless of the outcome, I will forever cherish these bonds of friendship."

Kuo emphasized that his inability to gain sufficient support for the presidency reflected his own insufficient efforts. "I accept the result calmly and will humbly reflect. Elections have winners and losers, but responsibility toward Taiwan baseball has no victor or vanquished. Respecting the system and respecting the outcome are values that every baseball person should jointly cherish."

"The greatest gain from participating in this election was not the number of supporters I gained, but the fact that more people have begun to pay attention to the importance of sports science, player development, a full-time national team, and modern governance," Kuo said.

"I firmly believe that as long as we are heading in the right direction, even if we don't complete it today, it will eventually become part of Taiwan baseball's continuous progress."

"Baseball is a relay passed from one generation to the next, not the stage of any single individual. In the future, I am willing to continue contributing whenever it benefits Taiwan baseball—supporting grassroots programs, assisting coaches, accompanying players, and leveraging corporate resources and professional capabilities to do my part for Taiwan baseball."

Kuo added, "I especially want to thank all my supporters. What you gave me was not just votes, but trust. This trust will not change because of one election; instead, it will become the strength that drives me forward."

"I sincerely wish the new CTBA leadership smooth operations and unity, leading the national team to achieve even greater success. If Taiwan baseball needs me, I will always step forward without hesitation. If Taiwan baseball can become better because of this, that will be my greatest comfort. Victory and defeat belong to today, but baseball belongs to the future. Positions may differ, but the original aspiration remains unchanged. Let us continue working together for the next generation of Taiwan baseball."
