KMT Hsinchu County magistrate candidate and legislator Hsu Hsin-Ying attended the 'Hsinchu County Xinhe Fellowship and Unity Assembly' today (3rd) at noon. Vice Chairman General Chi Lin-Lien, former Hsinchu County Magistrate Chiu Ching-Chun, Central Standing Committee member Lu Hsueh-Chang, Huang-Kuo-Chu Committee Chair Chiu Kuo-Liang, and representatives from over ten military-affiliated organizations—including the Alumni Association of Central Military Academies, Veterans Association, Marine Corps Veterans Association, Ching-Chi General Association, and Reserve Military Police—gathered with nearly 100 attendees. The event featured loud chants of 'Dong-Suan' (a homophone for 'elected') for Hsu, along with a cake inscribed 'Must Win, Will Win,' symbolizing full support for Hsu's election as county magistrate.
Held just before the KMT's Mobile Central Standing Committee meeting moves to Hsinchu County this Wednesday, the event showcased the high morale and growing support resulting from successful local party integration.
In his speech, Chi Lin-Lien emphasized that Hsinchu County's governance under former magistrates Yang Wen-Ke and Chiu Ching-Chun was never a concern, and stressed that Hsu Hsin-Ying will provide the same reliable leadership. He assured military faction cadres in attendance: 'Hsu Hsin-Ying emerged naturally through the party's primary selection process. We must unite, unite, and unite again—fully supporting the candidate chosen under KMT primary rules. I urge everyone to stand together and support Magistrate Hsu!'
Chiu Ching-Chun praised both Hsu Hsin-Ying and Hsinchu City mayoral candidate Wu Hsu-Chih as PhD holders, affirming their qualifications and capabilities in county governance. He highlighted that Hsu's victory in the primary confirms her status as the KMT's official county magistrate candidate. Chiu noted Hsu's consistent efforts in securing construction funding as a legislator, her deep understanding of county affairs, and her responsiveness to residents' needs.
He recalled that Chen Chien-Hsien, whom he fully supported during the primary, had served as speaker and collaborated closely with him as magistrate. 'But Hsu Hsin-Ying never told him not to support Chen,' Chiu said, underscoring Hsu's magnanimity and leadership caliber. He urged attendees to support Hsu to ensure a smooth transition from Magistrate Yang Wen-Ke's administration.
Lu Hsueh-Chang emphasized the Hakka community's historic unity in Hsinchu County elections, which contributed to strong governance under Chiu and Yang. He welcomed the party mechanism that produced candidates Hsu Hsin-Ying and Wu Hsu-Chih, stating it was 'not backroom dealing, but a fair and transparent process.' Lu praised Hsu for personally visiting his hometown of Baoshan to meet his friends and calling him to express respect, demonstrating her dedication. He urged party members to unite, preserve the foundation built by two KMT magistrates, and led the crowd in chanting 'Hsu Hsin-Ying, Dong-Suan!'—a powerful display of momentum.
Hsu Hsin-Ying expressed deep gratitude to military veterans, saying, 'Because our predecessors shouldered rifles, stood guard, and protected every inch of land, we now enjoy peace and safety.' She criticized the DPP's decade-long rule for undermining cross-strait peace, escalating military tensions, and causing domestic chaos through unconstitutional actions—such as launching mass recalls and refusing to execute or co-sign bills passed by the Legislative Yuan.
Hsu declared that the KMT must 'restore order from chaos' and vowed to lead the party to a 'grand slam victory' in the 2026 five-in-one elections, safeguarding Hsinchu County's blue stronghold and paving the way for a return to central government in 2028. She pledged to uphold the values of unity, cooperation, responsibility, and discipline, building on the legacies of Magistrates Chiu and Yang. With 'tech AI and loving AI,' she aims to transform Hsinchu County into Taiwan's tech capital, delivering warm, caring governance that ensures proper care for children, women, seniors, and all residents.
