Children's screams of excitement filled the performance hall. The second installment of the 2026 Yonghe Midsummer Dream series, 'Children's Night,' hosted by the Yonghe District Office, took place on August 1 at the Yonghe Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. The beloved MOMO Kinder Valley brothers and sisters delivered an energetic live concert, while the outdoor area transformed into a family carnival featuring a carousel, game booths, and food trucks—all in one place—drawing nearly 1,000 families for a day of joy. The venue resembled a large-scale children's amusement park.

The festivities kicked off at 3:00 PM and continued into the evening, with the civic plaza turning into a lively playground. The 12-seat carousel became the most popular attraction, with queues forming non-stop. Interactive balloon art, baseball pitching games, and retro-style pinball machines offered fun challenges. Children who completed the games received food vouchers to enjoy delicious treats from the food trucks.

The Fubon Securities Northern Two District Fubon Love Volunteer Team assisted with crowd guidance and order maintenance, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees. Parents were busy taking photos, while children were so immersed in the fun they didn’t want to go home.

As night fell, the festive atmosphere moved indoors to the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. The evening began with a 400-inch high-definition LED screen showcasing the 'Shanhai Tun Eco-Children’s Rhyme Series' sponsored by Huayun Era. The videos, themed around Taiwan’s natural ecology—such as fireflies, flying fish, and serow—helped children learn about the environment in an engaging way.

Hosts and the MOMO brothers and sisters then led interactive quizzes and prize giveaways. Children eagerly raised their hands to answer, turning the venue into a giant knowledge competition. By integrating ecological education into games, the event sparked continuous laughter and cheers from the audience.

The highlight of the night arrived with the grand finale: MOMO Kinder Valley took the stage. As soon as the familiar music played, popular hosts like Brother Daxu and the MOMO mascot appeared, prompting children in the audience to jump up and dance and sing along. The nearly 1,000-seat auditorium instantly transformed into a massive family dance party.

Led by the hosts in waving, spinning, and singing at the top of their lungs, even parents couldn’t resist joining in. Applause and screams echoed throughout the venue, pushing the joy index to the maximum and creating unforgettable summer memories.

Yonghe District Chief Zhou Qingzhen stated that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the Yonghe Midsummer Dream. The office has expanded the family carnival to accompany citizens through diverse activities and help more families create precious summer memories in Yonghe.

More star-studded events are upcoming. On August 8, WORLD MUSIC will feature international musician Matthew Lien in a cross-genre musical feast. The grand finale on August 15, 'Golden Melody Night,' will see performances by Weng Liyou, Ye Ailing, Yang Peian, Yu Tainyan, and Shen Wencheng, inviting the public to experience the musical charm of Yonghe Midsummer Dream’s 30th anniversary.
