Travelers bound for Okinawa, Japan, should take special note due to the approaching Typhoon White Dolphin. China Airlines has issued a new notice announcing significant adjustments to its flights between Taiwan and Okinawa (Naha) from August 6 to August 8. A total of 20 flights will be affected, including services departing from and arriving at Taoyuan, Taichung, and Kaohsiung—the three major airports in Taiwan. Several flights have been completely canceled, while others face time advances, delays, or aircraft substitutions with larger models. Passengers with upcoming international trips are strongly advised to confirm their flight details in advance.

August 7 sees the most severe impact, with multiple departures and arrivals suspended across Taoyuan, Taichung, and Kaohsiung.

Flight Status: On August 6, flights CI122 and CI123 between Taoyuan and Naha are canceled. Flights CI310 and CI311 are advanced, while CI120 and CI121 are upgraded to larger aircraft. August 7 is the most severely affected day, with complete cancellations of CI120, CI121, CI122, and CI123 (Taoyuan), CI310 and CI311 (Taichung), and CI2132, CI2133, CI132, and CI133 (Kaohsiung). On August 8, CI310 and CI311 (Taichung) remain canceled, while CI120 and CI121 are delayed.

Check the official website before departure! China Airlines will continue adjusting flights based on weather conditions.

China Airlines stated that it will continuously monitor the typhoon’s path and weather changes, making further adjustments to aircraft types and flight schedules as necessary. The airline recommends that passengers scheduled to fly in the coming days check the latest flight updates via the official website, mobile app, or SMS alert service before heading to the airport. Weather conditions during typhoon season can change rapidly, so travelers must stay updated with official announcements to avoid arriving at the airport only to find their flight canceled or rescheduled, disrupting their planned itinerary.
