Sushiro continues to advance its digital dining services with the trial opening of its first 'DIGIRO Digital Conveyor Sushi' restaurant in southern Taiwan at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Tainan Xintiandi on August 7. This marks the third DIGIRO store following locations in Taipei and Taichung, and represents a key milestone in the brand’s expansion into southern markets. The launch includes multiple limited-time promotions, such as 'Fresh Salmon 2+1 Nigiri' for NT$60 and 'Brown Sugar Miso Ice Cream' for NT$30, inviting customers to experience the new concept.

At the core of DIGIRO is the concept of 'digital browsing while viewing plates,' integrating a 150cm large digital ordering screen, digital conveyor belt, and interactive games. Customers can place orders intuitively via user-friendly interfaces, with dishes delivered swiftly to their seats through a digital supply system. Combined with gamified interactions, this creates a new dining experience blending technology, entertainment, and convenience.

Located on the B1 floor of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Tainan Xintiandi, near the Blueprint Cultural & Creative Park and Tainan Municipal Museum of Fine Arts II, the store spans approximately 130 ping (about 430 sqm) with 228 seats. It offers three distinct digital ordering modes: 'Sushiro Classic Mode,' 'Moe Hug Sushi Mode,' and 'AQUARIUM Mode,' supporting simultaneous dual-user ordering to enhance group dining convenience. During meals, an on-screen 'fullness progress bar' triggers random interactive games when certain conditions are met, adding fun for families and friends.

Coinciding with the store opening, Sushiro released the 2025 Top 10 Best-Selling Items at its Tainan outlets. Salmon-based items dominated the list, with six salmon sushi varieties making the top 10. 'Fresh Salmon' ranked first, followed by 'Seared Cheese Salmon,' 'Salmon,' 'Grilled Salt-Flavored Fresh Salmon,' and 'Salmon Belly,' reflecting Tainan consumers’ preference for fresh, sweet flavors. Other top sellers include 'Garlic Fried Squid Tempura,' 'Salt-Flavored Beef,' 'Tuna,' and 'Sweet Shrimp,' indicating strong acceptance of both raw and cooked dishes and diverse culinary tastes among locals.

To celebrate the trial operation, Sushiro is rolling out phased promotions. From August 7 to 14, the popular 'Fresh Salmon 2+1 Nigiri' is offered at the special price of NT$60. From August 15 to 21, 'Premium Toro Tuna' is available for NT$40 and 'Brown Sugar Miso Ice Cream' for NT$30.

Additionally, a triple-opening promotion is available during the trial period: customers receive a limited-edition A4 folder with qualifying purchases, a discount voucher card with purchases over NT$400, and children dining in enjoy double point rewards. From August 8 to 21, a social media giveaway campaign invites customers to take photos inside the restaurant and complete designated tasks for a chance to win a limited 'Moe Hug Sushi Bento Box.'

Sushiro stated it will continue expanding its DIGIRO digital store format, combining technology with dining services to deliver more interactive and efficient experiences. The company also plans to deepen its presence in southern Taiwan’s market.
