With the rising popularity of fitness activities, risks such as fractures, muscle strains, and heat-related injuries have drawn increasing attention. Chubb Life has responded to the needs of active individuals by launching the ActiveCare Term Insurance. Thanks to its innovative coverage design—including benefits for orthopedic surgeries, accidental fractures, outpatient treatments, and specific incidents—the product has won the Best Product Innovation Award at the 2026 Insurance Faith & Hope Awards, hosted by Modern Insurance Magazine. This marks Chubb Life’s 16th recognition at the prestigious awards.
Catering to the Fitness Boom by Addressing Common Injury Risks
Chubb Life emphasizes that while exercise is intended to promote health, excessive intensity, insufficient muscle strength, or improper posture can still lead to musculoskeletal injuries, fractures, or other accidents. The ActiveCare Term Insurance offers flexible premium payment terms and features five key protection benefits tailored for fitness enthusiasts.
For orthopedic surgeries, the policy provides medical and surgical consolation benefits for specific procedures defined in the policy terms. In the event of accidental fractures—even without hospitalization—policyholders can claim fracture benefits. If a physician prescribes assistive devices such as wheelchairs, crutches, or walkers, compensation is also included.
Outpatient Rehabilitation Covered, Enhanced Protection for Specific Incidents
Recognizing that many sports injuries require ongoing outpatient treatment or rehabilitation, the policy includes an accidental outpatient benefit. Insured individuals who receive outpatient care at qualified hospitals or clinics due to accidents can file claims under policy terms, with up to six payouts per policy year.
For death or disability resulting from accidents, the policy pays up to 100% of the sum insured. Additional coverage is provided for specific incidents defined in the policy, including heatstroke, heat exhaustion, hypothermia, accidental drowning, decompression sickness (the bends), and rhabdomyolysis—enhancing protection for outdoor and high-intensity activities.
Health Achievement Rewards Encourage Proactive Wellness Management
The ActiveCare Term Insurance also features a 'Health Spillover Mechanism.' Policyholders who undergo body composition analysis at designated medical institutions each policy year and meet the 'A+ physique' standard as defined in the policy terms will receive a 5% reduction in their scheduled annual premium for the following year. This incentive mechanism encourages continuous attention to body composition and health management.
Chubb Life stated that it will continue to develop protection solutions tailored to diverse lifestyle risks by leveraging its insurance expertise and product design capabilities, responding to evolving modern lifestyles and customer needs.
Consumers are advised to carefully review the policy terms and related documents before purchasing. Actual coverage, payment conditions, and exclusions are subject to the terms of the insurance policy.
