Kurogeya, a Japanese hot pot brand under Kanpai Group, will launch trial operations on August 7 at Dream Mall in Kaohsiung, marking its 20th location across Taiwan. To celebrate the grand opening, Kurogeya teams up with On the Road—the Gelato shop selected for the Golden Horse Awards banquet—to launch the exclusive 'Aomori Apple Italian Handmade Ice Cream'. Nationwide add-on promotions and Dream Mall-exclusive opening events will run simultaneously.

Recognizing Kaohsiung’s emerging 'north-south dual-core' development trend, Kanpai Group identifies Dream Mall as a key lifestyle and consumption hub in southern Kaohsiung. Following its debut in northern Kaohsiung at Han Shen Mega Mall at the end of last year, Kurogeya’s entry into Dream Mall successfully establishes two strategic poles, connecting Kaohsiung’s two most iconic commercial districts.

With Kurogeya’s arrival, Kanpai Group officially forms a dual-brand front at Dream Mall, featuring both 'Lobakubai' and 'Kurogeya'. Through two popular dining formats—wagyu yakiniku and Japanese hot pot—the group aims to meet diverse consumer needs ranging from casual meals and family dining to business entertaining.

Kurogeya delivers 'gourmet hot pot for everyday dining' at accessible prices, specializing in four types of individual Japanese hot pots: shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, Hakata-style water stew, and Moji pot. Premium ingredients such as Japanese Wagyu, PURE RARE Finnish pork, and Iberico pork are featured, complemented by traditional Japanese finishes like zosui (rice porridge) and noodle dishes, offering a complete experience of Japanese hot pot culture.

In celebration of summer, Kurogeya’s limited-time 'Tomato Hot Pot' will be available until the end of September. Made by slow-cooking beef tomatoes and vegetables, the broth strikes a perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors. For the final course, diners can enjoy a dipping noodle dish made with plum-soaked somen, experiencing three flavor variations: original, perilla leaf, and seaweed topping—delivering a refreshing and appetizing summer hot pot experience.

Additionally, Kurogeya partners with Tien Mu’s beloved Gelato brand On the Road to launch the limited 'Aomori Apple Italian Handmade Ice Cream'. Infused with juice from Japan’s Aomori apples and crunchy apple bits, this dessert blends rich fruit aroma with smooth Gelato texture, creating a naturally sweet-tart treat with layered complexity.
