Father's Day celebrations are no longer limited to a single weekend. To boost consumer spending, several well-known hotels and restaurant groups have extended their Father's Day promotions through the end of August, promoting the concept of "the entire month of August as Father's Month." Businesses are rolling out exceptional offers such as name-based discounts, weekday "4 pay for 3" deals, all-you-can-eat premium American beef, and raffles for hotel stay vouchers worth over NT$10,000 to capture family-oriented spending during this festive season.
These holiday promotions span iconic buffet restaurants in Taipei and popular hotpot and barbecue chains across Taiwan, offering great value options for families who prefer lavish buffets or refined grilled dining experiences.
Get 20% off if your name includes 'Kai' or 'Sa'? Taipei Caesar's buffet offers great value under NT$1,000 per person
The Taipei Caesar Hotel, located near Taipei Main Station, has launched its "Celebrate Dad with Art" month-long promotion, covering accommodations, dining, and desserts. The most talked-about offer comes from its popular "Checkers" buffet restaurant, which is offering a limited-time discount based on name characters.
Until August 31 (inclusive), if the father himself or any accompanying guest has the character "凱" (Kai) or "撒" (Sa) in their name, the entire table will receive a 20% discount during lunch or dinner, regardless of weekday or holiday (a 10% service charge is applied to the original price). For example, the weekday lunch price is NT$1,080 plus 10% service charge. After the 20% discount, each person pays under NT$1,000 for a full buffet experience. This offer does not apply to afternoon tea and requires presentation of ID at checkout. It cannot be combined with other promotions.
Weekday '4 pay for 3'? What special dishes will Far Eastern Café serve on Father's Day?
Far Eastern Café, the popular buffet restaurant inside the Far Eastern Plaza Hotel Taipei, is also offering weekday-exclusive deals to celebrate the occasion. From now until August 27, groups of four or more adults dining during lunch or dinner on Mondays to Thursdays will enjoy one free adult meal (a 10% service charge applies to the original price). With the weekday dinner price at NT$1,780 plus 10%, this offer saves up to NT$1,780 for a group of four.
In addition to the group discount, on Father's Day, August 8, the chef team will launch several exclusive dishes. The teppanyaki station will serve aromatic "Black Pepper Ribeye" and tender "Garlic Butter Shrimp." The noodle station will feature steaming "Special Char Siu Tonkotsu Ramen," offering exquisite dishes to honor hardworking fathers. Far Eastern Café's lunch and dinner prices start from NT$1,680 plus 10% service charge.
