Struggling to find meaningful, in-depth travel plans for your summer family getaway? The Ministry of Labor’s Workforce Development Agency, Taoyuan-Chuhuo-Miaoli Branch, has teamed up with eight local organizations to launch the '2026 Summer Tour,' meticulously crafting 11 locally rooted experiential routes. From the Guanxi Box Turtle Eco-Camp and Xinpou Leek Farmer Experience to a Saisiyat Tribe Day Tour, families, schools, and corporate groups can easily reserve spots through a dedicated digital e-brochure.

These tours venture deep into Hakka villages, rural farms, indigenous tribes, and mountain forests, transforming community ecology and farm-to-table education into engaging interactive experiences.

Jinshan Community, Hsinchu Guanxi – 'Mawdu Box Turtle Ecological Conservation Summer Camp': Combines outdoor games and hands-on crafts to teach children about endangered species and habitat protection.

Xinbei Community, Hsinchu Xinpou – 'Little Farmers on a Mission': Children enter the fields to learn leek cultivation and make Hakka tangyuan by hand, experiencing the joy of farm-to-table food education.

Walo Village, Saisiyat Tribe, Miaoli – 'Saisiyat Slow Travel Day Tour': Invites visitors into indigenous communities to immerse themselves in traditional crafts, Saisiyat culture, and mountain memories.

Taiwan Sustainable Mountain Association – 'Beipu-Ermei Cultural & Historical Walk': Offers four exclusive walking routes to rediscover the historical development of Hsinchu’s mountain towns and Hakka settlements.

The Ministry of Labor has long promoted the 'Diversified Employment Development Program' and 'Empowerment Employment Plan,' supporting local groups in developing distinctive industries and creating stable local jobs.

Lai Chia-jen, Director of the Taoyuan-Chuhuo-Miaoli Branch, stated that this year’s summer tours transform years of community engagement, ecological conservation, and Hakka cultural preservation into accessible tourism content. Summer travel isn’t just about relaxation—it’s an opportunity to understand local communities, support them, and promote sustainable employment. Families, schools, businesses, and after-school programs are encouraged to participate.

All itineraries have been compiled into a digital e-brochure by the branch. Whether planning half-day, full-day, or multi-day series walks, the public can browse complete route details and booking contacts directly via the official e-brochure (download link: https://gov.tw/S4A).
