"Santa, Don't Wait! 2026 New Taipei Christmas Marathon Relay" will take place on December 6 (Sunday) at New Taipei City Citizen Plaza, marking one of the most anticipated sporting events within the New Taipei Happy Christmas Land series. Entering its third edition, the race continues to rally Christmas enthusiasts from across Taiwan under the "three-person team" relay format.

This year’s event is further upgraded with an all-new series of Christmas-limited supplies and a dedicated relay token—the "Christmas Bell." A dreamy bubble-start ceremony and a popular costume contest will also be featured, allowing runners to complete the most ceremonial relay challenge alongside their teammates amid the joyful Christmas atmosphere of New Taipei.

The Christmas Marathon Relay has become one of the most iconic sporting events of the New Taipei Happy Christmas Land. This year, it continues the well-received three-person relay format, with a total distance of approximately 24.7 kilometers. The course starts at New Taipei City Citizen Plaza and passes through Xianmin Boulevard, Cuihua Bridge, Huajiang Bridge, Dahan Bridge, and Fuzhou Bridge. Teams can freely assign legs based on members’ fitness levels and strategies, completing the challenge through speed and teamwork, while enabling more people to easily participate in marathons through the relay format and experience the joy of team collaboration.

Today’s press conference unveiled the full lineup of limited-edition race merchandise, designed with rich Christmas elements for exclusive collectibility. Participants can choose between two color options for the commemorative race T-shirt, paired with a commemorative beanie, finisher towel, and finisher tote bag—all specially designed with Christmas colors and festive vibes, combining practicality with collectible value. The highlight item, the relay token "Christmas Bell," was designed to symbolize the passing of blessings and team spirit, becoming the most representative keepsake of the third edition, adding a sense of Christmas ceremony to every baton exchange.

In addition to limited merchandise, this year’s race introduces multiple exciting features. Dreamy bubble machines will be installed at the starting arch and event site, with bubbles floating through the air, combined with the dazzling lights of New Taipei Happy Christmas Land, creating an immersive Christmas party atmosphere where every runner can create unforgettable memories.

The much-anticipated Costume Division returns with festive energy, encouraging participating teams to unleash their creativity by dressing up as Santa Claus, reindeer, snowmen, gingerbread men, and other holiday characters. Xianmin Boulevard will transform into the most joyful Christmas runway. Moreover, participants who upload their creative costume photos for the online voting campaign will have a chance to win special bonus prizes—People’s Choice Champion wins NT$15,000, second place NT$10,000, and third place NT$5,000!
