Tai-Power Energy (7921), a system-level energy storage subsidiary under Yun-Bao Energy (6869), announced today (10th) that it has successfully secured the EPC contract for HEXA Renewables' PV+BESS integrated project located in Changhua, Taiwan.
The project consists of two adjacent solar photovoltaic installations, with a total energy storage capacity of 48MW/185.7MWh, making it the largest PV+BESS integrated project in Taiwan to date. Tai-Power Energy will be responsible for the full EPC turnkey solution, including system integration, engineering, construction, testing, and grid interconnection, in collaboration with HEXA Renewables. The project will incorporate battery energy storage systems from Fluence Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq: FLNC), a global leader in energy storage.
Additionally, Tai-Power Energy will partner with Fluence to provide the project owner with long-term operation and maintenance services for 17 years, enhancing system stability and lifecycle operational efficiency. The project is scheduled to be connected to the grid in Q1 2027, with commercial operations commencing in Q2 2027.
Feng Hao-Xiang, General Manager of Tai-Power Energy, stated, "Large-scale solar-storage projects demand more than just equipment installation—they test a company's comprehensive capabilities in power system design, equipment integration, construction, EMS control, and ongoing maintenance." He emphasized that by integrating Fluence's global energy storage technology and long-term service experience with local engineering and O&M expertise in Taiwan, the project establishes critical track records for securing more large-scale solar-storage and diversified energy storage applications in the future.
Tai-Power Energy has accumulated a total of 412MW/1,055MWh in project installations both domestically and internationally. Its overseas market expansion includes revenue-generating projects in Australia, as well as the development of extra-high-voltage engineering, low-voltage solutions, and equipment sales in Japan. As Tai-Power advances large-scale energy storage projects globally, the Changhua project not only solidifies its leading position in Taiwan's energy storage sector but also serves as a key demonstration indicator for strengthening regional grid resilience and advancing Taiwan's energy transition.
