Conflict Between Han Kuo-yu and Fu Kwo-chang Escalates: Vice Speaker Selection at Core

Legislative Yuan Speaker Han Kuo-yu expressed dissatisfaction with KMT caucus convener Fu Kwo-chang's absence from budget negotiations and demanded his resignation. Political commentator Zhao Xiaokang analyzed that this conflict is not about the 2028 presidential election or the leadership of the Legislative Yuan, but the core issue is Fu's desire to become Vice Speaker. Fu had aimed for the Vice Speaker position from the beginning of the parliament but could not achieve it due to practical reasons, and ended up becoming the General Convener.
