LG and NVIDIA (NVIDIA) are expanding their alliance from generative AI and computing infrastructure to the real world. LG announced on the 14th that the two companies have signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) to advance their strategic cooperation to the execution stage, focusing on three areas: robots, AI factories, and future mobility. The next-generation humanoid robot is scheduled to be unveiled in the first quarter of 2027, while a wheeled robot will be deployed for field testing in a washing machine factory in Tennessee, USA, this year. Additionally, they plan to establish a demonstration site for an AI factory using NVIDIA Vera Rubin in 2027 and build an 80MW-scale AI factory in 2028. In the autonomous vehicle sector, they will develop the next generation of AI-defined vehicles using NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion.
