New Taipei mayoral candidate Lee Sichuan attended the membership meeting and chairperson handover ceremony of the New Taipei City Luzhou District Changhua Hometown Association today (15th), warmly welcomed by a full hall of fellow townspeople. Lee stated that, if elected, he will fully promote the construction of the Lushe Bridge and Luzhou Hospital, enhancing local transportation and medical infrastructure to achieve the goal of a 30-minute core living circle between Taipei and New Taipei. His policy proposals received enthusiastic applause from local residents. Hong Jingzi, President of the World Changhua Hometown Association, shouted 'high vote victory' and rallied northern-based Changhua natives to fully support Lee Sichuan.
Accompanied by Hong Jingzi, President of the World Changhua Hometown Association, current association chairperson Hsieh Tsai-jung, and incoming chairperson Lin Yu-chin, Lee Sichuan personally greeted attendees, receiving an enthusiastic welcome. Many attendees passionately chanted 'Dong Suan' (a homophone for 'elected'), took selfies with Lee, and requested autographs, demonstrating his strong local popularity.
Lee expressed gratitude for the Changhua Hometown Association's long-term concern and support for local development. As someone who also came to Taipei to build a career, he empathized with the feelings of those living away from home. He emphasized that regardless of origin, New Taipei City is everyone's shared hometown, and he pledged to continue working hand-in-hand with residents for the city's betterment, earnestly requesting their continued support.
Regarding Luzhou's long-term development, Lee stated that upon election, he will fully promote the construction of the 'Lushe Bridge.' Through transportation infrastructure, he aims to further drive industrial development, eventually connecting the Taipei-New Taipei 'AI Technology Industry Corridor' via MRT and road networks, attracting high-quality high-tech industries to create more employment and development opportunities for New Taipei City.
Lee also announced plans to promote the construction of 'Luzhou Hospital,' leveraging his past experience in planning the Tucheng Hospital project. He will accelerate construction through the BOT model, with the city government leading land acquisition, transportation, and administrative coordination, while inviting major medical systems to invest and operate. Priority will be given to establishing emergency, maternal and child, pediatric, cardiovascular, and geriatric medicine centers, integrating long-term care, rehabilitation, and community healthcare systems across the Sanlu area to build a comprehensive medical living circle.
