Outlet stores are offering farewell discounts as deep as 30% off.

ROXY, the renowned outdoor surf brand, counts down to its Taiwan exit

Huatex Outlet's 30% off clearance sale triggers a shopping frenzy

Founded in 1990, ROXY is the women's sub-brand of Australian surf giant Quiksilver. At a time when the outdoor sports market lacked professional surfwear designed specifically for women, ROXY emerged to fill the gap. The brand launched its first women's surf swimwear and, in 1993, introduced a revolutionary women's professional beach pant. With its superior functionality and fashionable cuts, ROXY quickly gained fame in the water sports community, becoming a favorite among fashion-conscious women and outdoor enthusiasts.

However, with the rise of fast fashion, the surge of cross-border e-commerce, and increasingly fierce competition from both local and international sportswear brands, international apparel brands are facing immense operational pressure in the Taiwan market. As a result, ROXY has regrettably decided to exit Taiwan.

Website shut down, stores gradually closing! Huatex Outlet holds final clearance sale

In fact, ROXY's exit from Taiwan quietly began months ago. The brand's official website discontinued convenience store pickup services in late April, completed its final shipment in May, and customer service officially ended in early June. The Taiwan website has now been fully taken offline with all products removed.

Regarding physical outlets, the ROXY store at Huatex Village Outlet in Taoyuan will remain open until August 31, offering clearance discounts ranging from 30% to 50% across the store. After the clearance sale was announced, many netizens shared their hauls: 'Bikini under NT$600,' 'Men's beach pants for just over NT$700,' 'Bought 15 items for under NT$10,000,' and 'Stocked up on flip-flops for the next ten years.' In response to the brand's departure, many longtime fans have expressed sadness, lamenting, 'What will we wear to the beach now?' and 'A part of my youth memories is gone.'
