The support association for Shen Po-yang, a physician and Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) candidate for Taipei mayor, was established today (16). Minister without Portfolio Chen Shih-chung mentioned that Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an again claimed the central government was covering up and concealing carcinogenic oil, but the Taipei City Government itself cannot even clarify which oil products should be restocked. 'A mayor can certainly speak on national affairs, but when no one responds to your words, it's time to stop,' Chen said.

In response, Taipei City Government deputy spokesperson Yeh Hsiang-yuan fired back, questioning how Chen, as a Minister without Portfolio, could demand others to 'stop' when he himself has failed to manage national affairs properly. Yeh stated that the Taipei City Health Department has already clearly explained that the city has consistently adopted a strict preventive removal of problematic oil products, which must not be restocked until the truth is clarified. In contrast, the central government chose to cover up and not disclose downstream distribution channels from the beginning, and even allowed Zhonglian to dine with experts before jointly setting a lenient 20% standard. This absurd 'player-as-referee' scenario has not been apologized for by the central government to this day—does it now want to erase public memory? When will Chen clarify the situation and apologize to the public?

Yeh criticized that from the vaccine cover-up to the toxic oil scandal, the central government has yet to fully explain a series of controversies. How can Chen, as a member of the Executive Yuan, demand others to 'stop' when he cannot even manage national affairs? When will the DPP's arrogant attitude and incompetent governance finally 'stop'?

In an interview, Chen stated that the central government is actively handling the Zhonglian oil case, and other counties and cities are also properly managing it according to their responsibilities. However, during a city council session, some Taipei councilors discovered that the city government itself cannot even clarify which oil items should be restocked. 'We should return to municipal affairs, as this is ultimately a mayoral election. Mayors can speak on national issues, but if no one responds, it's time to stop,' Chen said.

During his speech, Chen directly criticized Chiang Wan-an's frequent claim of achievement—'NVIDIA setting up in Taipei.' But did Chiang select NVIDIA to come to Taipei, or did NVIDIA choose Taipei? Who chose whom? 'In fact, this is just self-promotion,' Chen said. 'What exactly has Taipei City done to attract NVIDIA? Nothing.'
