Straker Japan Co., Ltd. (HQ: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Rep: David Sowerby) participated in IBM's global conference 'Think 2026', held in Boston, USA, from May 4-7, 2026.
'Think 2026' is IBM's largest annual event focused on technology and business solutions, attracting over 5,000 participants from more than 80 countries. Sessions focused on next-generation enterprise technologies, including the transition to AI-first organizations, hybrid cloud, and quantum computing.
During the conference, Straker conducted a teaser demo of its 'AI Dubbing' technology currently under development. On the first day, the team converted the 10:30 AM IBM keynote into a Japanese lip-synced video using the speaker's original voice in just over an hour. This video was presented during the Japan-specific GEO session on the same day, where it was met with surprise for its high immersion compared to traditional interpretation or subtitles. The demo generated significant interest from multiple distributors, creating concrete business opportunities.
Straker also highlighted 'SwiftBridge AI', an IR-specialized AI service that provides high-speed, high-quality English translations for financial reports and timely disclosures. Leveraging the specialized custom AI model 'Tiri', it enables delivery as fast as one business day within a secure ISO27001-certified environment.
Founded in 1999 in New Zealand, Straker is a leading provider of AI-based language solutions. Listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) in 2018, it supports multinational companies in over 120 languages. As the Japanese subsidiary, Straker Japan continues to drive communication transformation for global enterprises.
